Oclo, a paper chart or another pill reminder app?

Each option fits someone. Here is what a paper chart, an app with an account and Oclo do well, and where each one falls short.

What each option is good at

A paper chart is cheap and always visible. An app can remind you out loud. The right one is the one you will still use in three weeks.

A paper chart

Good for a routine at home: it sits on the fridge and anyone can see it. It cannot remind you, and it is easy to forget when you travel. Our free printables cover this.

Apps that need an account

Some apps sync across phones, which suits families who want live sharing. The trade-off is signing up and keeping your medicine list on someone else’s server.

Oclo

Reminders with a follow-up, one-tap logging and a doctor PDF, with no account and no server. It is Android only, and sharing is by QR code or link rather than live sync.

Which fits you

Use paper if you are always at home. Use Oclo if you want reminders and privacy on Android. Use a synced app if several people need live updates. Ask your pharmacist if you are unsure.
