Pill reminders for seniors: a setup that sticks

A reminder works when it is easy to see, easy to hear and easy to answer. Go through these six checks once, on your own or with someone you trust.

Your six checks

  1. Make the text easy to read

In Android settings, raise font size and display size. Reminders and the medicine list follow it.

  2. Pick a sound you will notice

Choose a clear tone and check the notification volume is up, not only the ringer.

  3. Tie each time to your day

Breakfast, lunch and bedtime are easier to remember than 08:00, 13:00 and 22:00.

  4. Turn on the follow-up reminder

If a dose is not marked, Oclo asks again a little later, so a missed dose does not stay missed.

  5. Let reminders through

Allow notifications and alarms for Oclo, and take it off any battery-saving list so the phone does not silence it.

  6. Share it with someone you trust

Send the setup by QR code or link, so a family member sees the same list. Nobody needs an account.

Oclo is a reminder and logging tool, not medical advice. Ask your pharmacist how and when to take each medicine.
